Tonight, the Night’s a Gemini

Posted on Jan 18, 2014

An old notebook just re-emerged. A friend of mine returned it to me, guess I’d lost it in a move. It’s got some lines in it from back when I first started playing shows. I was living in a second floor apartment down near the Springs. That was a fun summer.

Here’s an excerpt:

Tonight, the night’s a gemini

who know’s what mood she’s in

she’s got a million stars

that died before

they reach us.

There’s music in the breeze

and in the train that rides

the tracks across the street.

And another:

I called out to love

and she called back to me

she said she’ll call me back

when I got some time

and I am not so busy
